Humans can really eat
Hi, It is really interesting to know and I suggest you all give it a go. Put yourself on an eating plan for 1-2 months. Give it a genuine attempt. After a few days, you may realise how much food we, as humans actually consume. More to the point is also how little food we actually need to function. Of course that depend on our lifestyle. Over the last week I have had a small education for myself...

Weight loss is easy
Hi all, How are you? i am just reporting that I am in  the process of a weight loss program. Not having been on a weight loss program before, I wanted to test myself so I can see what my clients go through. Granted, I have looked around for a program which I feel is adaptable and easy to follow, while still achieving all the necessary goals, support I need. All being well I will let you know...

8 weeks is all you need
Hi, Wow!! What a year. It is not over yet. Not by a long shot! Whatever you do, DO NOT SWITCH OFF!! Just because the retailers are already preaching Christmas and New Year holidays, we all have goals to achieve. Sit down for 10 minutes and look at where you want to be.  Write down where ou are and where you want to be. Even if it is a small notebook. Break down each week into smaller, achievable...

It is easier than you think
Greetings all, I often sit and ponder why some people find it difficult to be active and how can I make it easier for them to be active and exercise. I understand that at times we are all busy and we are caught up in the day to day routine of life. Then we sit and relax. Hey! We are entitled to relaxation time aren’t we. I have an idea. What if I made some suggestions of...

We're off and running
Hello world, How are you? We finally commenced The Alive Personal Training Weight loss challenge. Weigh ins, measurements, stress, goals setting. It had the works. Now for the next six weeks the entrants will sweat it out, feel the lactic acid burn, have their heart rates rise and increase their metabolism. That the way to do it. I am excited. I love seeing people achieve because I believe...

Getting Fit in Bed
Hi Folks, Who says you can’t get fit between the sheets. As Winter is upon us, there cannot be many better ways to keep yourself up(so to speak). So many benefits of sexual relief. Read this summary of a study about the benefits of sex for fitness. This is a British study. It is quite interesting all the same. There are some great benefits to sexual intercourse to balance your exercise...

Stand up for your health
Hi,  How are you? A few weeks ago you may have read about how It doesn’t matter if you go running every morning, or you’re a regular at the gym. If you spend most of the rest of the day sitting — in your car, your office chair, on your sofa at home — you are putting yourself at increased risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, a variety of cancers and an early death. In other words,...

Booze and exercise????
G IN Hello everyone out there in Alive World, I just came across this  article about Alcohol and exercise by Joe Kita, (www.joekita.com). I would like to share it with you. Functional Training and why should I do it?
Hi all, Happy Easter and/or Passover or any other celebration you choose to recognise. I find it important that when people train they are balanced in every possible aspect. This may be in one sessions or over a week. But it is important that everyone has their movements and actions balanced in all three planes otherwise you may expose yourself to injury and poor proprioception in our bodies....

Quote Of The Week
“Champions keep playing until they get it right.” Billy Jean King let us all take a lesson from one of the greats in both on and off the court. I challenge each and everyone of you to choose your goal(s) and follow this philosophy. You will be amazed how a little persistence and determination can snowball into continual success. What goal have you all set and put by the wayside...

Stay standing, No chairs
Hi, I caught the train today. Interesting you might say. Why am I telling you this. Well, on trains they have seats and 90% of everyone was looking for that one space to rest their ailing and weary legs. How so I asked myself. It was 8:30 in the morning and unless you had just finished your 12 hour shift of painting the Harbour Bridge I think most of us can stand for a train trip. The reason....
